Jose D. Alvarez is an interdisciplinary creative based in Brooklyn

The filmmaker behind the 'instant cult classic' queer horror movie Killer Unicorn (2019) and recent MA graduate from NYU in Experimental Humanities focusing on translation, and queer legacies across literatures. Jose is a Colombian born, New York-based film & theater writer, performer, producer and scholar.

XoXo, Lord Byron

(Writer/Lord Byron) A farcical play inspired by Byron's collection of letters and journal entries, the play begins with a series of conversations between Byron and his faithful valet, Bill Fletcher, as they pack for their self-exile to Greece. As the night progresses and their discussions get more heated, the sadomasochistic nature of their role-playing relationship is exposed.

The play will debut at Latea Theater at the New York Theater Festival winter 2022 with performances on––

An anthology drama series unveiling conventional people’s ‘unconventional’ sexual desires. The mini-series consists of six 20-30 minute episodes each focused on a specific fetish or sexual experience. S&M Records is about the humanity behind sex, and how opening up our minds can open up conversations that go past the bedroom.
